Adjustable Beds

INNERSPRING. Beddings supported by tempered steel coils in different configurations are the most widely purchased type of bedding.  Insulation and cushion between the body and spring unit are provided in the layers of upholstery.  A basic approach combined with state-of-the-art technology offers a full range of comfort choices.  Quality tip: Mattress quality is not judged on the number of coils contained.  A high coil count is not an automatic guarantee of a better product. 

FOAM. A wide variety of “feels” is likewise provided by solid foam mattresses.  Foams can be prepared using a solid core of several layers of various types of foams coated together. 

FOUNDATION. Just as important as the good mattress is a good foundation.  Never use an old foundation on a new mattress. In selecting a mattress, use its companion foundation because they are designed to perform together.  The terms of warranty are affected when buying a mattress without its supporting foundation. 

DON’T FORGET THE PILLOW. As the bed provides good body support, the pillow should likewise offer the proper cushion to correct the position of the head and neck.  The head should be held in the same relation with the shoulders and spine as though you are practicing the proper upright posture.  A fairly firm pillow should be used to support the head and neck when sleeping on your side.

FUTONS. Futons offer an alternative for people needing a sofa by day and a mattress by night.  Flexible mattresses are made of cotton, synthetic fibers and foam combined differently.  It supports sitting and sleeping. 

ADJUSTABLE BEDS.  Adjustable beds gives sleepers the option to adjust the head and foot of the bed suited to the most comfortable position. The mattress and foundation must be specially designed for the flexing motion and can be innerspring, foam or a combination. Quality construction is of prime importance since the flexing motion results to additional wear on the mattress.

WATERBEDS. The newest waterbed designs are designed to appear similar to the familiar foundation of mattresses, with a core filled with water providing support and layers of foundation for insulation and surface comfort. When water is involved, it is critical to assure quality construction for maximum durability.
