Mattresses are a personal choice
Choosing the suitable mattress to sleep on is clearly a matter of personal choice. No specific type of mattress is best for all people, likewise there is no mattress suitable for people with back problems. Also, no correct sleep position is recommended. This is due to several factors:
• Back problems have many causes and different back conditions may work better to specific types of beds, mattresses and sleeping positions
• Personal preference has a high degree in the choice of mattresses and what may be effective for one person may not have the same effect for another.
• Scientific research on mattresses and back pain is limited and results from these researches yielded insufficient conclusions

Do not have the expectation that changing or swapping mattresses or beds will provide the remedy to lower back pain, and changing the type of bed or mattress should be done for the sake of having a comfortable and good night’s sleep.
