What to Look for in a Mattress
When we usually sleep we tend to move a lot before being able to doze off. Sometimes we even find ourselves in the floor when we wake up. Or when we become too comfortable we eventually sleep walk and find ourselves in the nearest bathroom (or is it just me).
According to one mattress maker, we move a lot when trying to sleep because of flat beds create gaps because our backs are curved in an S-shape manner and our legs are curved. This situation creates a state of tension because there are no muscle support when this happens. But according to one doctor, moving around a lot in bed is just normal for a person. It has become a person’s natural instinct as well to move a lot in bed so that he may kick someone who snores a lot without seeming intentional.
Doctor’s also say patients with hypertension, ulcers, circulation problems and congestive heart problems have difficulty sleeping on flat beds. If you look at hospitals, their beds are designed to be adjusted to help out some patients with complications. Adjustable beds are mostly like hospital beds, they only look cooler. Adjustable beds also help out people with asthma, chronic lung diseases, acid reflux disorder, and heart failure. Because these patients would feel much better if their heads are elevated.
You can be able to make your own adjustable bed. All it takes are just lots of pillows to prop up and support your bed till you get maximum comfort. But since we are too lazy, we just opt to buy adjustable beds, where all we need to do is press a button. Here are some things to consider when finding the best mattress for your comfort.
• Heat and massage it provides. Having heat and circulation helps out in changing circulation, it also provides temporary relief in low back pain, edema and swelling of the legs.
• A hard mattress is not generally that good a mattress too. It will help some get comfort when they sleep but when they wake up; they’ll end up feeling like they’ve been battered.
• The best bed is the memory bed. It is called the memory bed because it responds to your body temperature and complies to weight, almost perfect pressure, support and distribution. It also helps you remember the dreams you have.
• Foam is a good material for beds as the surface that accepts your body contours and it also distributes pressure. The foam will also resists pressure to provide a better sleeping experience.
• A firm bed is only good for people with arthritis or disc pathology to prevent laxity in the joints.
• Comfort is important, so don’t be ashamed to lie down in the mattress when shopping. Try also doing certain stuff in the mattress with your partner or friend that is still within proper conduct.
Hope that by being able to find the best bed, you can now be able to sleep more relaxed and only have the best dreams. I hope that by having a great new bed you won’t be grumpy in the morning too.
